I’ve been avoiding a sidebar because it looks cluttered, but I’m also convinced now that it’s near impossible to find older posts or navigate the other content easily; trying to figure out how to change the widths was a bit more of a pain, however. Let me know what you think – all feedback appreciated, thanks! MT
Minor firmware update: Nikon D800/ D800E
Quick updates on reviews
For the rest of this month and next month, I have planned:
Equipment:
– Olympus OM-D review – I need to do some more daylight shooting with this camera to get a better idea of its capabilities, but so far: one hell of an impressive camera. (Last week of May)
– Olympus 45/1.8 (done, earlier today)
– Nikon 45/2.8 P review – a blast from the recent past! Surprisingly good normal-Tessar that does very well on the D800E, and is compact to boot
– The Ultimate Equipment Database – a concise opinion on just about everything
Workflow:
– Achieving perfect color
– Black and white conversion options
– The black and white workflow video (well, once I shoot it at any rate)
And, cue drumroll:
– I’ve just been promised an M-Monochrom and new 50/2 APO ASPH to review by the end of the month, probably sooner. The machinery is in motion, and I think that fb post to Andreas Kaufmann’s wall might have helped in some small way. 🙂 Fingers crossed!
So, don’t forget to bookmark, follow, like me on Facebook to get the latest updates and check back again soon 🙂 MT

100,000!
I would like to say a big thank you to all of my readers and followers, because as of late this morning, this site has hit a new milestone: 100,000 views in the last month. To know that there are that many of you out there who are interested enough to spend a few minutes looking at my images and reading my posts is both humbling and very encouraging at the same time – thank you.
Please continue to return, revisit, reblog, share with your friends, comment, ask questions…it will enable this site to grow, and hopefully achieve my objectives of helping whoever I can out there to be a better photographer – one frame at a time. I’ve got a whole load of great content already in the works for the next few months; but in the meantime, if there’s anything you’d like to see, please ask – either in the comments or drop me an email. Enjoy! MT
A question to my readers
What would you like to see more of? Photoessays? Equipment reviews? Philosophical thoughts? Off topic? Video, even? Leave a comment below, and I’ll see what I can do! MT
A gentle reminder…
…please get in touch if you’re interested in attending my Tokyo workshop with Leica – it’ll be a fantastic opportunity to learn, shoot, meet other photography enthusiasts and experience Japan at the height of Golden Week.
