I was a week ago in Bangkok (again, some pictures in my recent blogs) and used also Chao Phraya river buses. This picture delivers different – darker? – feeling as you typical ‘see’ at the river. I like it.
Thank you – it was a pretty miserable overcast day. The only activity about was tourist-driven, and somewhat depressing – I thought the darkness was quite apropos to the mood of the scene.
Despite the title, for me, what makes this shot work is the clouds in the background. How did you get them to be so buttery and creamy?
Thanks. Careful exposure choice…I knew the man would be silhouetted below a certain EV, so it’s a matter of deciding where you want the rest of your frame to land up. Hint: do some reading on the Zone system.
